rather inappropriate thoughts

while watching a video of a west african woman making pottery clay:
is that one of those livestrong bracelets she's got on??

while studying for art2 exam:
the great temple? huh. well. lara croft movies sure are waaay factual.

while flipping through my Art in Africa textbook:
what's this forbidding of non-muslims inside mosques dammit? lemme inside to take pictures already!

while flipping through my Art in Africa textbook, part deux:
their toes are so...stubby.

while staring at a photo of dogon men dolled up for a gerewol:
so...pretty. like in a janet jackson video...

while watching a video of a west african man make a jar using the concave mold method:
so...round. like a baby's butt. i think i wanna hug [the jar].

final thought on the west african pottery video:
those folks are fucking crazy...making entire perfectly spherical jars using just their hands. wtf?! toddles and their play-doh ain't got nothin on these folks with their plain ole mud and water skillz.

and on some other different note:
while taking off my toenail polish last week, the polish remover, well, removed all feeling from the epidermis of my thumbs, forefingers, and middle fingers. a week later, those finger tips are still numb and the feeling's just plain bizarre -- at least an eighth of an inch of dead skin on each phalange. geezus. in a not-so-clever move, i tried removing some of the dead skin on my right thumb. the result? the dead skin's now gone but the new skin underneath is so fresh that i'm currently super-sensitive in the thumb pad area. way ta go. sometimes, i'm just not too smart. first it was with the purposeful burning of fingertips on the stove (i can stand pain dammit! mind over matter!!) and now it's burning fingertips just to remove nail polish.

WHAT KINDA NAIL POLISH IS SO DAMN HARD TO REMOVE ANYWAY?! I RUBBED MY FINGERS STIFF!!!!

so yieah.
