they also listed what folks think are the top five most influential works of the century. i don’t necessarily disagree with the list (isn’t art influential to people in different ways?) but damn, at least guernica’s up there. and for the record, since i'm spewing opines about art, i dunno about the consensus that les desmoiselles d’avignon is the most influential anyway.
finally? yieah, i'm gonna be hunting down mummies come next june. and, if the exhibit kicks enough arse (and how can it not? it's king tut’s gold fer chrissakes!!), imma go to the field museum show as well. because king tut and the field museum are worth the plane tix to and from cheecahgo.
