and who said i was gonna shut my political trap forever .....
so what if there's any re-election angle to the bush-immigration proposal? as far as i can see, which, so far, is only about 10 different sources (i'm at work, supposed to be working!), the idea looks good. it gives current illegals a chance to legalize themselves, provides a source of labor for the lower-skilled labor pool, and gives the gub'ment yet another avenue to keep better census profiles. so yieah, ideally speaking, this whole thing'll work out to quite a few people's benefits if executed with a dose of fairness. plus, it's just a nice, humane thing to do...as opposed to the popular capitalistic, "it's all about me first!" prioritizing per modern western civilization running rampant nowadays. of course, something'll happen (people'll object, people'll cause ruckus) and the plan'll go to rut. either it won't even pass congress or it will, but it'll be so skimped and pinched along the way that the final execution will be greatly restricted. oh well, to me at least this sounds like a good plan.
