it is alarming that the sound of sirens has so become background noise now. hello...sirens are supposed to alert you, get you to take notice that shit is happening. i can't even hear it till it's practically in my face these days. and even when i do hear it, i can't react fast enough to say a prayer and get the fuck outta the way. whatta world, whatta world.
